First-tier notebook makers see on-month revenue drop in May
The four ODM makers attributed the below-expectations operational performance to short supplies of LCD panels and optical drive pick-up heads (PUHs).
Quanta’s shipments of 2.3 million notebooks in May and Inventec’s shipments of 1.6 million units remained unchanged from April, while Compal’s volume of 2.5 million units and Wistron’s of 1.8 million units dropped by 7.4% and 5.3%, respectively, according to the companies.
